Great place for a romantic getaway.

We spent 5 lovely days in Donna’s bungalow surrounded by macadamia orchids, lemon and lime trees and no one around, in a very peaceful estate. The bungalow is comfortable and well equipped. We would recommend this place to all who are looking for a quality restful time away from the everyday buzz of city life.

Cosy

We had a great experience. The fireplace and hot tub kept the bungalow nice and warm. Very relaxing weekend away and our host provided firewood and breakfast for us!

Wedding at Summergrove Estate

We found Bungalow 6 the Perfect location as we were guests at a wedding at Summergrove Estate on Saturday night. Location is also close to the coast for a swim at Coolangatta, a very easy drive out to Carool. Overall a lovely stay in the private and peaceful Bungalow 6. Thanks Donna you were very easy to deal with throughout the whole booking process and it was lovely meeting you at check-in.

Anniversary getaway

Great little hideaway for a couple. Could happily stay in and enjoy peace or venture out for little drives to explore Murwillumbah, Kingscliff etc. Beautiful, comfortable and romantic.

The Property was immaculate and perfect for my fathers 60th getaway. After some trouble with the hire car company the host Donna went above and beyond to ensure my parents enjoyed there stay they can’t thank you enough.

ideal romantic getaway

If you want luxury accommodation in a secluded location with no neighbours and one of the best restaurants (Potagers) in Qld only 1 km away, this is the spot. Log fire, comfy bed, spectacular views. If you like coffee, make sure to ask Donna to put some ground coffee on the fridge to make your stay perfect.

Brilliant getaway

The perfect place to welcome in the New Year. A great deck from which to enjoy the fireworks and drink champagne without leaving home. Quiet, private, all necessities supplied,spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Bungalow 6 is only 15 mins from Tweed but so peaceful it felt like a different world.

Magic Location

I wanted to treat my partner to a special weekend away in a tranquil and romantic location and we certainly got that with Bungalow 6. The accommodation is absolutely stunning and the views are amazing from the mountains to the ocean. The spa and double sided fireplace help to make this the ideal romantic weekend away. Donna is very accommodating and we will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful Place

We spent 2 1/2 days at Bungalow 6 and had a wonderful and relaxing time. The scenery is breathtaking and ever changing. Donna has done a fantastic job with the Bungalow which is very comfortable and private. Our only regret is that it was too warm to use the fireplace but we will be back again in winter to give it a go!

Fantastic Experience, Great Service

The location is exactly what we were looking for. An escape from the city lifestyle. Quiet, beautiful, and the serene backdrop of Mount Warning. The closest destination to us was Tweed Heads, which was great for quick grocery pick ups. Surfers Paradise was a 20 minute drive, so not too far for a fancy dinner.

One thing to keep in mind is the bungalow is surrounded by bush. You get to see amazing wildlife, like hares and kangaroos, but you also get a nice welcome from the crawlers. We weren’t so prepared for the first night, but the following nights, after we bought some insect repellent and armed and ready, the remaining nights were beautiful. Those creepy crawly’s can’t keep me away from wanting to stay there again.

We got to see some amazing night skies. One night, we were treated with lightning storms, the next night we got to see the sky so clear. Never have I seen so many stars. It was truly a mesmerizing and wonderful experience. I don’t think my partner or myself could ask for anything more.

Donna was fantastic as well. Any questions (of which we had many), information, or issues we had, Donna was quick to respond.

All in all, this was one of the best places I’ve stayed, elegant, beautiful, and everything you need is there, if not close by. Thank you again for having us Donna, it was like living in a beautiful dream for 3 nights.

Relaxing with breathtaking views!

My fiance and I stayed in Donna’s Bungalow 6 for three nights. It was a truly relaxing experience with perfect weather and amazing views. The accommodation was really good with everything you’d need. Lots of nice touches including candles, open fireplace and an epic spa bath. Great rates too. Will be back!

Hinterland perfection!

I wanted to book in somewhere for an anniversary celebration to remember and Donna’s bungalow certainly delivered! The mixture of pure luxury inside and stunning rural surroundings, we couldn’t have asked for more. We particularly enjoyed the massive spa bath and super comfy bed. Thank you Donna, for being an exceptional host, we’ll definitely be back!

Delightful Escape

We didn’t know what to expect as we hadn’t visited nor heard of Carool before but my, what a magic little place this is! Bungalow 6 is an adorable little stay, tucked away from any hustle and bustle. The photos don’t do this place justice! Even drizzly weather is made more enjoyable by the view and cosy fireplace.

Donna is a wonderful host- the bungalow was generously stocked with essentials, and she even had the fire place ready to go for us. We also tried out ‘Potager’, the restaurant up the road from Donna’s suggestion – can recommend! The food was great!

Thanks Donna, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back! x

Gorgeous spot

We loved how stay – Donna’s thoughtful preparation was wonderful, the bungalow is gorgeous (love the fire). Peaceful spot to relax, chill and enjoy the gorgeous views! Beautiful hidden spot, so close to the coast but feels like it’s in middle of nowhere – wonderful escape!

Beautiful place, beautiful energy

A truly magical location, and luxurious villa. Beyond that, it had beautiful energy. Donna (the owner) said that she had put a lot of love into it, and you could definitely feel it. We had a great time, and will visit again.

Relax, unwind and enjoy the serenity

Bungalow 6 is a great option for a few nights away from it all and the perfect spot for a couples escape. Donna provided excellent information on the attractions of the area (make sure you eat at least once at Potager Restaurant) and the beaches are an easy 20 minute drive. The cottage is spacious, clean, well furnished and extremely comfortable and on hot days the breeze makes its way up the hill to Carool; late afternoon and early evening were fabulous on the deck. If you prefer to be indoors, you can watch out for wallabies from the spa bath. Donna provided the essentials and the wine was extremely thoughtful. As the location is secluded you do need a car whenever you venture away from Bungalow 6; the only trade-off for a great escape.

Relaxing getaway in the Hinterland.

We had an incredibly relaxing stay and found it very hard to leave. We booked dinner at Potager for the Friday night and ended up going back for Saturday night aswell – the food was so good. Donna was incredibly accommodation and so lovely. We definitely hope to be back again soon!

Perfect Getaway

Charming, romantic bungalow. Fantastic views. Close to the coast but you could be a thousand miles away! Open fire for those chilly nights, we had a great two night stay. The surrounding hinterland has lots to see, lunch at Tumbulgum Hotel is a must. This was a perfect getaway.

Donna was an incredible host, gave us plenty of information about where to eat and what to do.

This place will always have a special place in my heart as this is where we got engaged.

Hidden gem

We felt relaxed and at home from the moment we arrived at Bungalow 6.

From the spectacular views of the Hinterland out to the Coast and to Mt Warning, to the indulgent spa bath and the comfy king sized bed it was easy to feel in holiday mode instantly.

We loved the peace, tranquillity and we felt we were away from the rest of the world.

We hadn’t visited this area of the Gold Coast before and are glad we found it.

It’s a beautiful place and Bungalow 6 is truly a hidden gem.

Absolutely Stunning!

Bungalow 6 truly is an amazing place. Donna has done a great job making her bungalow stand out from the rest, it really doesn’t compare. On top of that Donna made us feel welcome with a lovely introduction to the property. The views are second to none from the mountains to the ocean. Our anniversary was made very special, with absolute privacy while looking at the 2 way fire place from the spa. We will be coming back every year! Loved every minute of it – wish we could stay longer.

Amazing place to stay!

Bungalow 6 was an amazing place to spend the weekend. My fiancé and I have had many romantic weekends away and this was one of the best. The fire place, spa and the views were all perfect.
